Pierce the pin through the stem, at a slight downward angle. Most corsages and boutonnieres have a lot of floral tape that help support them and the pin should go through easily. (Some people like to keep the pin above the taped stem. When doing this make sure that when bending over the corsage does not slip out from above.)
